Lesson Description

This easy guitar lesson has 6 chapters. The Performance shows you what we'd like you to learn how to play. The Overview tells you the basic historical and musical things about this song, plus shows you the chords you need to know. In the Intro you confront a tricky but manageable rhythmic challenge right off the bat. David has you start off with an UP strum that gets the groove going. Next we go to the Verse where David throws lots of stuff at you, like scratches, knocks and mutes, that you’ve got to do while you keep your groove going. In the Chorus you get more acoustic strumming practice. In the Bridge chapter David grooves with you on the new chord progression that goes with that part of the song. Finally, we have a Bonus Chapter, where David teaches you a fairly challenging boogie-woogie technique that requires you to pick individual strings, again without losing your groove. Of all of our guitar lessons, this is a good one if you are looking for an easy guitar song that sounds great.
